Adventure Island 3 (NES)
Adventure Island III is the third installment of Hudson Soft's Adventure Island series and is very similar to Adventure Island I and II. The game was released in North America in September 1992. It uses the same gameplay as its two predecessors.
The game features several new dinosaur partners as well as some returning from Adventure Island 2. Dinosaur partners include: Red Taylor who can shoot fireballs out of his mouth and walk through lava. Poley, who can attack by rolling into a ball. Blue Taylor who can run fast and bash enemies in front of him. Classy who can ride in water. Don-Don who can fly and drop bombs.
Adventure Island 3 is significantly longer than the previous titles containing 8 worlds each with 6 areas and a boss.
The is followed up with New Adventure Island for the TurboGrafx-16 and Super Adventure Island 1 and 2 for the SNES.
RGG Says: Some new features, but really more of the same, not that that's a bad thing.
