Alien3 (SNES)

Alien3 is an SNES game released by LJN in May, 1993. The game is loosely based on the 3rd film in the Alien series, and shares similarities with the NES and Genesis versions of the game, but is more of an update from those titles.

This game is a side scrolling action adventure title, in which Ripley explores 6 different corridors of the prison on Fury 161, while fighting off the aliens that have infested the prison.

Each corridor contains a large section to explore with many doors that lead to various rooms.

For each corridor of the prison, Ripley must complete between 6 and 8 objectives before moving onto the next. These objectives involve making repairs to the various features of the prison and clearing out the aliens.

For these objective Ripley can use her pulse rifle, grenade launcher, and flame thrower. Ammo is limited, but ammo as well as health pickups, can be found around each corridor.

Enemies include cocoons, face huggers, chest bursters, warriors, bambi-busters, and queens.
