Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars (SMS)

Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars is a Master System port of the arcade game of the same name. It is the second game in the Alex Kidd series. The game music was composed by Hiroshi Kawaguchi. The arcade version featured a two player mode in which the second player controls Alex Kidd's friend, Stella.

Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars features Alex Kidd and Stella searching for the twelve Zodiac signs.

Alex Kidd can move, shoot stars with a power-up, and jump while on land. He can also swim underwater, or float in the air with a balloon.

The game features 7 stages which must be repeated twice in order to complete the game. The second run through of the stages features a higher difficulty, and different locations for stars and special items.

Alex Kidd and the Lost Stars was followed up with the Japan only Master System release of Alex Kidd: BMX Trial, then Alex Kidd in High-Tech World. The Master System version of the game was released on Wii Virtual Console.
