Terminator 2: Judgment Day (NES)

Terminator 2: Judgment Day is a beat 'em up for the NES it is different from the gun shooter arcade game which was ported to the Genesis. The game is based on the popular film of the same name in which a reprogrammed Terminator comes back in time to save John Connor from a new model Terminator, the T-1000. In the game the player controls the Terminator.

The game contains five levels including the Truck Stop, Flood Channel, Pescadero Mental Hospital, Cyberdyne, and Steel Mill.

The second level has the player riding his motorcycle dodging obstacles and racing away from the T-1000 with John Connor in tow. The player can shoot forwards or backwards during this stage. In stage 3 the player must protect Sarah Connor while the two escape the hospital.

Enemies include the T-1000, Bikers, Punks, Hospital Guards, and Cyberdyne Guards.

This version was also ported to Sega Game Gear and Master System, but level 2 is omitted from these ports.

The game is followed up with a couple Terminator 3 games for the PS2, Gamecube and Xbox.
