Winter Games (7800)

Winter Games is an Olympic style sports game developed by Epyx. The game features events similar to those included in the Winter Olympic Games. The game is a follow-up to Epyx's Summer Games. Like Summer Games, the game was originally a Commodore 64 title before being ported to other consoles and computer systems.

This game takes place during the "Epyx Winter Games" and allows for up to 8 players to play; each chooses a different country to represent. Each event is played by each team as they compete for the best result and the gold, silver or bronze medals.

Depending on the platform, there are up to 8 events including: Alpine skiing, Ski jumping, Biathlon, Bobsled, Figure skating, Speed skating, Luge, and Hot Dog Aerials.

The 7800 version contains the Bobsled, Ski Jump, Biathalon, and Speed Skating events.

The game features modes that allow the player to compete in all events, or a set of chosen events. The player can also choose to practice a single event.

The game is followed up by California Games, which was made available for many of the same platforms that Winter Games was released for.
