Miner 2049er 2 is 2600 port of the Apple II platform title designed by Bill Hogue and developed by Big Five Software. The port was done by Tigervision.
The original game could not fit on a single 2600 cartridge and, even with 4 of the original stages removed, was split onto two carts and released separately. Miner 2049er 2 contains the second set of 3 stages from the original game and continues the original 2600 title.
Miner 2049 was followed-up with a spin-off, Scraper Caper, which never made it to consoles, and the official sequel, Bounty Bob Strikes Back, which was released on computer systems and the Atari 5200.
